Dr. Crair is the lead person at Yale for the new $250 million in capital investments in science and technology including the new Physical Sciences and Engineering Building which is considered to be the “crown jewel” of the facilities covering over 16 acres on Science Hill.  These investments are coupled with Yale’s leadership in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, materials science, electrical engineering, and many other cutting edge innovations.  Yale is working with other universities, the State of Connecticut, and the private sector in bringing new technologies forward into the marketplace.

Yale is also continuing its leadership with Artificial Intelligence including a commitment to spend $150 million to develop, use and evaluate AI to deliver breakthrough research at an unprecedented speed and scale.  Yale will support key areas, including computing infrastructure, community access to secure generative AI tools, targeted faculty hires, seed grants and opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration.
